For centuries decorative nails have been used by artisans from Europe, Africa and the Middle East, both to secure leather to wood and also to create pattern on large surfaces of trunks, chair backs or even headboards. Studio A designers found examples of this long lived international tradition at the Museum of International Folk Art and translated it into ceramics. The result is stunning.
